Amusement Advantage, Inc. is looking for two skilled professional Independent Contractors in the Eastern or Central Time Zones area to join their team as Schedulers (Two positions).
Requirements: These are work-at-home opportunities but will include occasional video conference calls. Applicants absolutely must have reliable high speed Internet, a landlinephone, a cell phone (smart phone), a Windows PC (NOT Mac) with Microsoft Office & Outlook 2010 or newer and a work environment where you can conduct phone calls in relatively noise free conditions. Availability: Applicants must have a flexible schedule and be able to check email (approximately every 2 hours) and our online project management system and make and receive calls throughout the day. Some evening and weekend work is required(weekend coverage is rotated). The schedulers will handle projects in various time zones and need to conduct early morning and late night email checks. Some weekend phone coverage time will also be required. Because the workload doubles in the summer, applicants must not have more than 10 consecutive days and 20 total days when they are completely unavailable between May 10th and Aug 20th.
Although these positions are Year-Round, we are looking for individuals who can work at least twice as many hours in the summer months (June – August), as compared with the rest of the year.
Experience: Individuals should have experience with or a good understanding of themystery shopping industry. Applicants must have also have some type of professional customer service or administrative experience that demonstrates time management and verbal and written communication skills. Attractions or entertainment industry knowledge and interest or experience is a plus.
Skills: The individual must be extremely detail-oriented (borderline obsessive compulsive a plus!) to meet client and company requirements and guidelines. They must have the ability to carefully monitor their own work at all times and be comfortable working in a shared workspace where management frequently double checks projects to proactively avoid issues. The applicant must be able to multi-task constantly and balance ever changing priorities and direction. It is essential for the contractor to work well both independently and as part of a small team. They need to be extremely flexible with their work style and open to frequent direction and coaching from management. The applicant must also be able to act quickly and with a strong sense of urgency as needed. Applicants absolutely must have excellent computer skills for troubleshooting, email, instant messaging, copy and paste, completing web forms, using multiple screens at once and utilizing project or contact management software. The ability to learn new software quickly is also important, as our web-based scheduling tools are proprietary. Creative problem solving skills are helpful for recruiting and scheduling. The ability to work quickly and efficiently directly impacts the amount of time worked to complete tasks.
Summary: The scheduler will be responsible for scheduling all assigned shops. They will conduct constant shopper recruiting via postings and shopper searches on multiple sites and via emails and phone calls. They must also research and solve problems, negotiate with and coach shoppers and plan and juggle multiple and changing dates. They must be able to analyze projects on many different levels, assessing client requirements, company needs and shopper availability and limitations for possible conflicts and proactively spot issues before they arise. The must be able to balance competing and changing priorities on very different types of projects within our company processes, know when to utilize resources and consult and update management to ensure that client expectations are met and projects are completed on time. Some shops will be self-assigned by shoppers or easy to schedule and require little to no effort while many others will require constant and repeated effort day after day and month after month. The work can be extremely mundane and frustrating but also very challenging and rewarding. It can be compared to working on a puzzle that is always changing.
Compensation is $6 per shop based upon the number of projects assigned monthly (100-200+). Base earnings potential is $600 (Aug-May) – $1,200 (June-August) monthly plus other incentives.
