Work from home Apple Advisor Experience

Ultimate Work from home Guide with 100+ companies hiring now plus sites for extra cash https://payhip.com/b/lz3ov

I began my career with Apple as an at-home advisor.  I take inbound calls and try to help people who are having issues with their iPhones or iPads.  I will say that I have had many jobs in the past working from home, but I really felt like Apple gave me the training that I needed.  I started out as part-time, but I don’t think I have ever really worked part-time hours.  I work sometimes more than 40 hours per week.  I moved up to official full-time status within six months and was able to cash in on all the benefits.

The Perks of Working from home for Apple

The benefits package is spectacular.  You also get a 25% discount on any Apple products which comes in very handy during the holidays.  I have dental, vision, and full medical for my whole family at a price you just cannot find anywhere else.  Because it’s Apple, it’s also very prestigious to work for them.  They are constantly sending you free trial products to review for the company.  I actually got a free iPad after my third year of service.  They sent me everything that I needed to start up, even down to the smallest of details.  They wanted to make sure that I didn’t spend a dime out-of-pocket to pay for my start-up costs.

The downside to working for Apple

As with any job that you do, there is a downside.  Sometimes I will get someone who is elderly on the phone. It can be somewhat challenging to walk them through the set-up process of a product if they are not very familiar with computers and technology.  Apple also keeps a schedule, unlike some companies that let you log in and out when you want.  Once you have signed in to work you are basically glued to your desk all day.  Although there is the benefit of working from home and you do get breaks and lunch, you are still tied to a work schedule.  Not to mention working on holidays because Apple doesn’t close for anything but Christmas.  There is often haggling over the scheduling during the holidays and if you have no seniority, you will not have any days off during peak times.

How to apply to Apple

It’s not as hard to become an employee of Apple as you would think.  To apply you simply go to Apple’s official website, click on the jobs tab and search for current jobs in your state.  There is a special section for at-home advisors.  They have three shifts since they are open 24 hours a day. They are in the Central Standard Time zone too, which is confusing for me being in the Eastern time zone.  The first shift works from 4:30 AM CST to 11:30 PM CST.  Long hours are something you get used to.  The second shift or what they call the mid-day shift is 1:00 PM CST to 4:30 AM CST.  Their late night or graveyard shift is 7:00 PM CST to 11:00 AM CST.  Now they may schedule you part-time or full-time hours during those shifts, just depends on your preferences.

The tuition reimbursement is the real reason why I did this job.  They have paid for my education 100% at my local college.  As long as it’s in a technical program, they’ve got your back.  My local manager has been very helpful and is always a phone call away.  I will say that once you have set your schedule you may not want to try to change it.  They don’t like to change a schedule once it is set because they are open 24 hours a day, they are kind of tight on scheduling and need their coverage.

Why I recommend working for Apple

Apple is a very good company to work for.  The biggest challenge is never leaving the home.  If you have children or some other reason why you need to be home, then this job would be perfect for you.  I filled out my application and had an instant email verifying that I had applied.  They set up a phone interview and then I went to an online testing area.  Once they verified the information in my resume to be accurate, they set up my training.  I started at $15 per hour and received a raise at my 90-day evaluation.  I quickly learned that they will pay you well for everything you do, and they are watching your performance from their online stats.

Remember that Apple is one of the companies that are always hiring people to work from home so you can apply right now.  In order to find out what other companies are hiring right now make sure that you subscribe to my YouTube channel and also go to Workersonboard.com and visit the weekly job section and Friday freebie pages regularly.

Hi, I just read your post. I found it interesting. I am presently in training with Concentrix who contracts WAH positions for Apple.

This is sixth day of training and I feel like I’m lost in world with it on language. I am not by nature tech smart. I can follow directions if I call for tech support, but this is different.

Do you have any words of encouragement or help skills that will get me through training with out pulling my hair out.

Thanks
Rlynn

Hi Rlynn, don’t expect to learn everything in just a few days. Do your best, try not to stress and continue to work hard and you will do fine. If you are very confused don’t be afraid to ask for help and get some answers to your questions. The more that you practice the better you will get. Last but not least, don’t give up!

I just recently worked for apple at home and the way they lay you off is rediculous!!! November 16th I got up to log on to work and my computer was locked to where we were told to go into blackboard where we were then told we would no longer me worker effective immediately!!!! I would advise anyone to have a backup plan if they decide to work for this company..

Does Apple Work From Home offer training or do you need to be tech savvy before applying?

What jobs allow you to sign in and out whenever you want or have free time??? I’m a single parent with joint custody. However, I have a day job and the custody schedule varies from week to week. So i can’t commit to a fixed schedule because it varies so much.
