You may assume that this kind of work may be difficult but working from home as a chat agent is not as hard as it sounds. Have you ever visited a particular website and a box popped up on the right-hand side of the screen prompting you to type in your question if you need further assistance? If so, you have already engaged in a chat discussion where the chat agent will research to find the best solution for you. That is exactly what you will be doing as a chat agent. You will essentially be customer service and technical support for a company.
Online chat is very important, especially since practically everyone is using the internet now because you can provide live support via a chat box in real-time.
If you have any skills or knowledge, you can use this to your advantage as an online chat agent that will help you to answer specific questions about certain products, brands, and many other things.
You can even find work with a website or band that you are already familiar with, use, or like. That’s right, you can get paid to be at home talking about products that you love.
In fact, Live Sales Staff is a company that employs people to work from home as chat agents and offers chat services to other companies every day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Those are just a few legitimate companies that have a need for remote chat agents if you want to work from home doing this. You will have to have some skill-not experience, but it is nothing that you cannot handle with some basic training. The pay for doing this kind of job is decent. You can expect to be paid around $10-12 per hour. That is very respectable considering that you never have to leave the comfort of your own home and higher than the American minimum wage in some states.

The link for Apple doesn’t work. It takes me to Amazon or Working Solutions. Amazon says they aren’t hiring virtual workers. Once I clicked on the Amazon link and click apply it takes me to screen with a listing on positions which non mentions virtual or chat agent. The other links takes you to the site but not the apply page. Couldn’t locate the career or opportunity page for Uber. Please let me know of Apple, Amazon or any other company that are hiring for chat agents along with link if possible. I am a newly divorce stay at home mom who homeschool’s all for 4 of my children(ages 10,9,5,5). Chat agent is the only job I can work especially if the hours are flexible.

Kymeisha, I have a little one who is almost two and I work from home. I work for Appen Butler Hill doing social media work. Also look into Intelichek. You do mystery shopping and need to use the phone but it’s okay to have noise in the background. I hope this helps!
