Before you apply to LiveOps, you may be wondering what it’s really like to work from home as an independent agent. Well, look no further because one of my readers would like to share her experiences working from home for LiveOps. You can read her story below.
I started working from home about 3 years ago when I heard about this work at home position from a friend of mine at our church who actually was not working from home but talked with a coworker who was. Before that, I had started pursuing work from home opportunities years before and kept coming up with nothing! It really pays to talk to people and run things by a person and ask questions to see what they know because I ended up with a work at home position from a person that had already tried it and it was actually legitimate.
I looked up the information at home and followed the steps they game me and low and behold, they responded and I began the process to work for LiveOps. There was a fee for a background check and they just checked for any bankruptcies and felonies. It was pretty cut and dry. The process only took 2-3 days. LiveOps will contact you thru email only after you are approved. They will give you instructions to go through their certification program, which is VERY intensive. You will need a land line phone with no features, high-speed Internet and a good headset with a microphone. You are not required to purchase these until after you are hired so you will have time to purchase them.
I stayed shut in the house for about 2-3 days to hurry and finish the certification so that I could start earning money right away. There are deadlines for your certification but if something comes up, you can just communicate that to your point of contact and they are pretty understanding. Before I knew it, I was taking my sample calls and you get paid for every minute of actual talk time so the background fees that I paid after my first call were dwindling down very quickly because I was making that money right back and then some!!
LiveOps also has a chat room for all the IC’s (independent contractors) and they are VERY informative and actually want to help you. The whole process was surreal in that I was actually doing what I had been pursuing for such a long time and at the end of the day, I was making money…good money.
What I like about LiveOps is that you can make your own schedule because they need people to work 24/7. They have many clients that they contract out to you and that means different streams of income for you within one company. Fantastic! They do require you to sell on most of the lines but people are calling in because of a product they saw on television or heard about online. There is some work involved as far as upselling and it can be challenging but the majority of the time you will be making $15 an hour plus commission with some of the clients they have and you do have a support system there to help you with different administrators. There are many opportunities with this particular company even transcription!
I have also searched for other companies and worked for them as well through Workersonboard and watching Alicia’s YouTube channel. I can truly attest to the fact that she gives legit info on working from home! Her website is great as well. I still check it every Friday for the freebies! I have worked outside the house while working for LiveOps because sometimes you just want a change but it is so worth it to take the leap of faith and work for yourself. I don’t think I will ever go outside the house again to find work. It is empowering to work for yourself and to me, it’s the way of the future!
