What are captcha codes?
For those who may not be aware of it, captcha short for “completely automated public turing test to tell Humans and computers apart” is an anti-spam method to determine whether the user is a human or some kind of automated bot. You have probably come in contact with these captcha codes when you have tried to register for a forum or online community. Near the bottom of the registration page, you are asked to enter a combination of upper case and lower case letters with numbers or punctuations.
There are a couple of companies that are always looking for people from anywhere in the world to work from home by typing in those captcha codes. In fact, two companies MegaTypers and ProTypers even claim that you can make $200 a month or more doing this.
Although I cannot confirm this, I am assuming that they both may be owned by the same company which is Zombie Software Development. The sites are both set up the same and appear to be similar in appearance and text. Here are there requirements stated on their official website.
All you will need to type in these captcha codes are:
- A computer
- Internet
- Type 10 words per minute
You can work whenever you want and get paid either via debit card, bank check, PayPal, WebMoney, Perfect Money, Payza, and Western Union. They also state that you can get paid every Monday if you have at least $3 worth of typer credits in your account. If not, your money will roll over until the following Monday or whenever you reach your payment threshold.
Is it Legit?
One of the most frequently asked questions I am asked is, “Can you Really Make Money from home Typing in Captcha Codes Online?” You may be surprised at my answer but yes, it is legit. I actually tried this site and signed up with them myself a few years ago. I even got a payment from Zombie Software Development sent to my PayPal account. You can see my payment proof from them below.
Now that you know it is legit, the real question is if it is possible to make $200 a month or more typing in captcha codes. No. I have never been able to achieve or even come close to making this amount and I can type relatively fast. One of the reasons why it is difficult to reach this earning potential is due to the codes. They are not very clear and legible and you only have a certain period of time before you have to enter the next captcha code. You will also get screened out if fail to enter those codes or type them correctly. A lot of people who have tried this have given up within a few short weeks moving on to other jobs or tasks that they can do from home where they can reach their desired income levels. You can see if others have gotten a payment from Megatypers on Workersonboard Community.
Would I recommend this site?
Although it is not a scam, I personally wouldn’t recommend it simply because it may discourage the worker because the pay level is extremely low. It would be more advantageous to type in those business cards and receipts on Amazon Mturk or type snippets at Virtualbee.
